6 quarts if you do not have a high capacity pan and do not drain the torque converter

17 quarts if you do not have a high capacity pan.

    Smoak,
Will be having a tranny flush and fill soon, planning to switch completely to Mobil 1 (engine oil is already Mobil 1). Later, diff fluid will also be Mobil 1

Gregg ofFactory Tech fame says not necessary or worth the expense. He has a hook up & uses it becuase it doesn't cost anything more to him... straight from his website (which I think is still ailing).... he recommends Motorcraft unless you get the Mobil 1 fora song & dance with a kiss...

    Just fyi..

I got a good deal on it so I used it. Peace of mind I guess, been in there 20k miles with no issues. I did it when I put the valvebody and the 4x4 pan on the truck.

Our website is now running fine

When I had a 4R100, I used it, it's great stuff, but I get it for free, I'd never pay for it unless I lived where it was hot all year long.

    Question

If you do want to change over to Mobil 1 from the red Motorcraft stuff, how can you make sure you get all of it out of the converter? Do they use some type of machine to flush it or can you just pull the drain plugs on it and do it in your driveway?

If some is left in, is it harmful to mix them?

Will the Mobil 1 5w20 or 5w30 engine oil stuff do okay?
