New owner here, with a question.

What's up people. I am new to the site, just got my 2002 DSG and I am loving every minute of it. I am going to keep it pretty stock, my one question is about the stock airbox mod, I want to do this but I do not have the K & N yet. Would it be safe to do this with the stock filter, and would I see any gains with the stock one? One last thing is where is the best place to buy the predator chip from. I just need the stock one. Thanks for the help!

Don't bother with the air box mod. Keep it stock with a K&N filter and it will be fine. Cutting a hole in the bottom will not improve flow enough to offset the trouble. Believe it oor not the stock box is a true cold air intake and many tests have proven this time and again. Unless you get a good aftermarket Cold air intake it is best off to leave the stock setup and throw in a K&N panel filter

Gotta agree with MR Blue as always. On harleydaves truck, the difference between a stock airbox w/ a k&n and a lfp cold air kit was 17REAR wheel hp without changing the tune. Buy the cold air kit.
