Put new slotted/dimpled rotors on today from RUSLOW

Well ... finally got around to putting these things on today. I bought a set of slotted/ dimpled rotors from RUSLOW. Painted them black the other weekend and just now getting to put them on with a set of Hawk HPS pads.

Everything went smoothly. Went out tonight and burnished the pads. At the end of the procedure they bit like a Mofo. Stink bad too! After getting back home the rotors were quite hot... 250° according to my voltmeter's thermocouple. Not sure if this is normal or not... I'll check it all over in the morning.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to like this mod.

Pics are in various states of the assembly... I got too excited wanting to try them out, so I forgot to snap a pic at the end of assembly.

Ruslow is a supporting vendor. Go to the SV section of the board, and email.... I think his name on here is Ruslow, FYI.

I think they were around $400 for these rotors powdercoated as well. Not a bad deal at all!!!!

RUSLOW had these on special for 425 for the set of four. I think his regular price is $450. These weren't powder coated. I hit them with a rattle-can black enamel.

Check out the RUSLOW PERFORMANCE section in the supporting vendor section for details on how to order.

I'll snap a few more pics tomorrow of the final install.

In replacing your front rotors, I understand that you have to retorque the wheel bearings. Do you remember the size of the wheel bearing nut?

They look awesome. Did the Hawk pads make a difference? Does it stop any better now?

I remember it was metric. It was either 22mm or 26mm. I think it was 26mm.

The Hawk pads do make quite a difference. Definately feel them bite.
