I have 03 two tone with no mods seems like shocks and whats up w/ 4x4 oil pan I keep reading about. I'm looking for longevity/handling v.s. raw speed.

Welcome. Glad you made it. I was at Claim Jumper in Costa Mesa on the way back from the Fun Ford thingy at Knott's. Didn't see any HD's shot right past Outback. One of the bros must have tagged you. Welcome. Time to hide the credit cards. This is a great group of people who share too many mod ideas that it will put you in the poor house.
welcome and glad you dropped by. To answer your question, a favorite mod is the FTVB (Factory Tech valve Body): swap stock body with a NEW one to give your tranny shorter, crisper shifts (ultimately translates into longer tranny life).
This mod is usually done in conjunction with an upgrade to a 4X4 tranny pan (increases tranny fluid capacity = longer time for fluid to heat up).
